Pictures are worth a 1,000 words right?

Well folks, I walked a mile today with Bo and was actually up and about a bit. We walked around the neighborhood, the back field, and we even enjoyed sitting outside on the patio taking in the lovely blue sky. Not too shabby for brain surgery plus about 15 days... I am truly blessed by the progress and I know that much of it comes from all of the love and support I get everyday from each one of you and for that I will be forever greatful. My cup over flows...

Tomorrow I get my staples out! Lucky 13th of January around 3pm. I hope that it's not too crazy. Rob is not super excited to have to watch this, but he's been an amazing nurse and he will be awesome as long as he looks away. :) I am ready to get the metal off my dome and to be able to actually comb what hair I still have. Today after our walk I went to slide my sunglasses on the top of my head over the beautiful, handmade knitted cap my MIL, Arna, made me, and I about popped one of the stupid staples out on accident. Holy shnikies!!! It was all good though- lots of habits to change.
I haven't shared my personal pictures yet. I think I've been working up to that point for this blog. I've only shared with folks on maybe a text or of course in person. So, this blog is a little graphic to give you a warning... There's no retouching or photoshop for sure. HAHAHA. I may regret even putting these on here, but I promised integrity- the good (all my happy things), the bad, the ugly... So, here they are. Please be kind.

The selfie with Steph, Alex, and some scary lady in the back ground...Eeeeek!

The happy reunion.

First real shower and washing of my staples.

Improvement

Some of my happy things since I've been rather homebound....all from very special people near and far....

Loved my cards from Mr. Sussman's class. This was one of my favorites for sure...

More healing....

Amazingly beautiful arrangement!

This part has been tough. There's only so much tea or water or juice that one person can drink. I really, really like the taste of wine. Hahaha. This is my best substitute so far.

So many kind and thoughtful cards and gifts along the way... I still have them all up! These lovely flowers actually got planted in the yard today too!
Even a card in there from Kaiser thanking me...LOL

So, hopefully that didn't scare ya'll too bad, but I thought that it might be something I'd like to see if I was in your shoes. That's the reality of it my friends. One second you're chilling on a Sunday morning and then you have a hole in your head. Life is precious. Embrace all of it! Much love, light, happiness, and healing to all of you!
